We live in a world of long work hours, political unrest and pressure from society to live our “best life” at all times. These external and internal pressures can become too much for our bodies to handle and we can become overwhelmed. 

Stress is a state of mental or emotional strain or tension that results in adverse or demanding circumstances. It isn’t always a bad thing, stress can actually spur you on to perform better. But too much stress can have a negative impact on your body and mind.

Here are a few apps that will help you manage your stress:

For time management:

Toggle:

Effective time management starts with knowing how you’re spending your time. We don’t realize how much time we waste on small tasks – time that could be better utilized on other projects. Toggle is a great way for you to track how much time you spend on different tasks. And once you know what you’re spending your time on, you can make the necessary adjustments.

Google Keep:

Google keep allows you to make notes, keep lists and set reminders all in one place. You can even dictate your notes that Google Keep will transcribe them and you can use voice commands to have the app perform tasks like taking notes or adding a new to do list.

Cozi Family Organizer:

Balancing work and family life can be difficult and you don’t always make that soccer game or remember to stock the fridge with milk. This app is great because it allows you to sync your calendar to each member of your family. Which means that by looking at the calendar you’ll know who’s doing what and when. It allows you create appointments and designate them to a certain family member. The app also allows you to create shopping lists, keep all your recipes in one place and a family journal where you can save photos of your favourite moments. Perfect for busy moms and dads!

 

For wellness:

Nike Training Club:

You don’t have to go all the way to gym to exercise – you can exercise from the comfort of you home. The Nike Training app has been on the market for a while now, with a lot people praising how easy it is to navigate and the versatility of the workouts. There are a variety of workout intensities and classes led by actual people. Some of the workouts are voiced by professional athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo, Michael Jordan, etc.

Elevate:

Your brain needs to work out as much as your body. This app will help improve productivity, self-confidence, maths, reading, memory and earning power. Elevate has over 40 games designed to improve the health of your brain. It’s a great way to boost your brain while taking a mental break. And each user gets a personalized brain workout with the skills that you need most.

Meditation studio:

This app is a great way to calm and untangle your mind. It comes with over 200 meditations guided by meditation experts. It also comes with tools to help you manage stress, anxiety and pain. Most of the classes are under 10 minutes, which means you can have a quick meditation during your lunch break or before you go to bed.
