The Alliance Française

The Alliance Française is a global non-profit, apolitical and non-religious network devoted to promoting the French language and Francophone cultures. Launched in Paris on 21 July 1883, the Alliance Française has 800 local associations in 133 countries. In 2018, Dr Mike Adenuga Jr, a prominent African business leader and Chairman of Globacom Limited and Conoil PLC with vast holdings in the banking, real estate and infrastructural sectors in Nigeria was honoured with France’s most distinguished award – the CLH (Chevalier de la Legion d Honneur).

As a reciprocal gesture he generously donated the land and a state-of-the-art facility for the Alliance Française in Ikoyi in Lagos, Nigeria, wishing to make a meaningful contribution to the continuity, promotion and nurturing of French language and Francophone cultures in the country.

HKLM was approached to develop the branding and event collateral, including signage, a coffee table book, commemorative gifts and invitations.
